MOVING DAY!!

It's moving day. We'll be moving to our new location after the 10:30 session. Come help out if you're not busy or just come hang out and check out the new place. Some of us will more than likely be there all afternoon. The new gym is in the same complex just behind the old gym.

Starting Monday April 1st we will be having sessions at the new place.

Just a reminder, in case you haven't heard, we are moving location. As of Monday April 1st, we will be located at 726 Foster Ave in Bensenville. We are just moving next door. Classes will continue on Monday as usual at 726 Foster Ave.

I hope everyone's legs have had time to rest this weekend after open WOD 13.3. I think I'm finally feeling ok today.

Reminder we will be moving this Saturday after the 10:30am session. We will have way more room to get our workouts done in. It's exciting for us all.

WOD (none of the below is for time)
  • Back Squat 3-3-3-1-1-1 (Adding weight to each set working towards the best for the day)

then


  • Hip Bridge Floor Press (Barbell) 5 x 10 (Rest 90 seconds between sets. No failure)

then


  • Turkish Get Ups 5 x 5 (Select load based on current level of athletic fitness, meaning make sure form is there to do all sets and reps correctly) No failed reps.

A repeat of last years WOD, this one is "Karen" and 30 muscle ups split by 90 double unders. Not very fun. Especially since we did Karen twice in the last 2 months.

Annie was the women's champion last year and Lindsey took 9th. It should be fun to watch. For those of you that did last week's 13.1 WOD, you should know that Annie scored 209 and Lindsey scored 205.

A lot of you are struggling to get into classes more and more. There are more members than there are Grouponers now. This is a good problem to have. Well rest assured we are working on resolving this issue. We will be moving at the end of the month to a bigger facility. This will allow for bigger class sizes and hopefully alleviate some of these RSVP issues. Please be patient. We only have a few weeks left.

That being said we will be asking for some help on the move right after the 10:30am session on Saturday 03/30. With enough of us we should be able to get the move done in no time.

The CrossFit Games Open starts this week. For the next 5 weeks they will announce 1 workout that everyone that is competing will be doing and submitting scores for by Sunday. The workouts will be posted on the games website http://games.crossfit.com/ every Wednesday. We will be doing the open WOD's on Friday's.

Final Day of Benchmarks!

So today is the last day of our benchmarks. So far we've had an overwhelming amount of PR's this week. Great job everyone.

Remember to bring an extra pair of shoes to work out in. Next week the CrossFit games open WOD's start. We will be doing one open WOD every Friday for the next 5 weeks. For those of us competing, we will be judged on each WOD and must be completed by the following Sunday.
