Happy Friday!!

REMINDER - We will be closed tomorrow. We are getting together with CrossFit Enclave and CrossFit Roselle at CrossFit Enclave located at 1051 E. Main St (Rt. 72),Unit 104, East Dundee. If you would like to do the workout with us just RSVP on their site http://crossfitenclave.com/. You can also just come and hang out. Should be a good time. We'll have a few heats of the workout and then eat and drink the rest of the afternoon. If you come please bring a small side dish with to share. Hope to see some of you there.

Strength/Skill
Clean 3-3-3-1-1-1 (from the ground. Work up to your max effort. Rest 1-3 minutes in between sets. This should take up most of the hour.)

From now one we won't have extra workouts for Thursdays. Its meant for you to either rest, make up a missed WOD  or work on a skill or a lift. This is a good time for you to work on your weaknesses.

It's still SUPER HOT today. Hopefully we will have some relief after today for a while. Please come fully hydrated if you're working out today. Don't try to push through the workout to exhaustion. Bring a towel as well. Let's workout safe today.

License Plate Frames - We ordered a bunch or license plate frames thinking of maybe selling them. Instead we'd like to give them to you, our members, if you're interested. This would be great advertising for us and would really help our gym get it's name out there.
If you would like a plate frame, and are willing to put it on your car, please let me know and I will give you one. We have a limited supply since we weren't sure if anyone would even want them so it's first come, first serve. Email me at
nolalde@crossfit1013.com and let me know if you would like one. If you are asking for one please do not waste it by not actually putting it on your car. We can always give it to someone who will use it. If you would like one and would like help putting it on, I'd be more than happy to help you install it. Let us know, and like I said we have a limited supply so let me know soon. 1 plate per person that drives a car only.

Day 11 Paleo Challenge

So part of this Paleo challenge is for you to eliminate everything that might be causing you harm. Things like grains, dairy and legumes. After these 30 days you can try to reintroduce some of the things you would normally eat. Things like yogurt, cheese, oatmeal, etc... When you reintroduce these items make note of how your body feels and reacts. If it doesn't affect your body then bring it back BUT if you notice your body composition changing for the worst or you start to feel uneasy then take it back out.
